POLICIES

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the studio’s policies. A clear understanding of the following will reduce confusion later on. These policies are in place so that we can continually offer the quality service we provide for our artists.  Our staff will gladly answer any questions you may have.  Thank you for recording with New Royalty Records.

STUDIO POLICY

  • Under no circumstances will NRR release session files containing our plugin and effect settings. These files are considered the intellectual property of the recording engineer and contain trade secrets. The masters may be provided to you in one or more of three ways; a stereo bounce of the project, consolidated raw audio files bounced as stems, or “printed” processed audio files exported as stems. The time required to export these files and send them to you is billed at the same hourly rate as recording.

  • A 50% deposit is required to book a session.  No time slot will be reserved or held until the deposit is received.

  • All sessions are subject to a two hour minimum.

  • Artists are responsible to pay the remaining balance for time booked even if they decide to end early.

  • At least 24 hours notice is required for all cancellations, cancellations without 24 hours notice will result in forfeiture of deposit.

  • Cancellations without any notice (No-Show/No-Call, or less than 4 hours of notice) will result in forfeiture of deposit, and an additional charge equal to the remaining balance of the session.

  • Sessions begin at the scheduled start time whether or not the artist has arrived.  If the artist arrives early and the engineer is able, the session starts at that time.

  • If an artist is more than 15 minutes late the engineer may suspend the session and consider it cancelled without notice.  Clients will be subject to our standard cancellation policy.

  • New clients are required to present identification.

  • Scheduled start times and end times are strictly observed.

  • No files will be released until payment in full is received.

  • New Royalty Records is not responsible for storing files of clients who have an outstanding balance.

  • Artists may bring up to 3 guests maximum subject to advanced approval by the engineer.  All guests must provide identification.

  • The engineer has the right to refuse entry/remove anyone from a session for any reason.

  • Stems/trackouts/wav-files of sessions can be provided at the artist’s request, time required to bounce those files are billed at our standard rate.

  • The studio is not responsible for files lost due to technological issues or extraordinary circumstances.

  • Absolutely no loitering in our parking lot at all.

  • Premises are secured with video surveillance 24/7.

  • Mixing and Mastering Projects involving sessions and material not originally recorded at NRR are subject to our standard flat rate Mixing and Mastering prices, and do not require an in person session. However, if the artist would like to be present for some or any part of that process, they may schedule a session in which to do so, but must pay for the session additionally.

  • Clients are welcome to request edits and revisions on songs without booking a session. The time it takes the engineer to complete the edits is billed at our standard hourly rates, with a minimum charge of $45.

  • While NRR strives to deliver quality work in a timely manner, due to the intricate nature of audio recording, mixing, mastering, production, and other studio-related tasks, we cannot guarantee a specific completion time for any project. Any timeframes or package recommendations provided are estimates and should not be construed as a commitment or guarantee that a project will be completed within that timeframe. The actual time required for a project will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the complexity of the project, the number of revisions requested, the availability and responsiveness of the client, and other unforeseen factors. The client acknowledges and accepts that the quality of work is paramount, and this may influence project timelines.

  • All production sessions are subject to the license agreement set forth here.

  • All Subscription Memberships are subject to the Terms of Service set forth here.

  • These policies may be subject to change without notice.
